President's Message:

CHANGE OF VENUE: Black Bear Diner, 1465 Northeast 3rd Street, Bend, OR

Last month at the Black Bear Diner worked out well. We will do that
again. Therefor this third Thursday of the month, March 20th, head to
the BBD, at 6pm. We’ll get a table off to the side and eat off the
menu.

Sad that the KBDN airport, unlike almost all the other airports in
our area, has no public meeting space.

The weather forecast, the Weather Underground one, foretells a Cloudy
day, little chance of precipitation, for out Fly-out day.

Airshow of the Cascades:

Tickets to the Airshow of the Cascades, this August 22 and 23rd,
are on sale at 20% off until the end of the month. This years featured
act will be the seven L-39s of The Patriots Jet Team. Just announced,
Wingwalker Sam. Her her husband will also be flying the Grumman Snowcat
with LEDs as a twilight act on Friday night.

Erickson Aircraft Collection:

Anyone planning on visiting the Erickson Aircraft Collection, in
Madras, this Summer can forget about it. The museum has been closed to
the public since November 1st, 2024, and will reopen for the Airshow of
the Cascades on August 22nd. The baseless speculation is that they ran
out of space while refurbishing two B-17s.

March Meeting:

I’ll be on the wrong coast during our May Meeting.  Anyone want to steop up and tun that meeting?
