President's Message:

You guys know the drill: meet this Third Thursday, May 16th, at
6pm.  Once again at the Bend Builder’s Assist hanger as our ‘new’
meeting location.  Many thanks to Mike Robertson allowing us to use
his space.  The street address is 63030 Powell Butte Hwy (on the south
west corner of the airport), the same place the EAA Chapter 1345 meets.
Bring something tasty top share at our 6:30pm potluck.  Then we will
finish up a short informal meeting a 7pm.  Depending on whose forecast
you use, our Fly-out day will be either 30% or 40% chance of rain after
11am, and cloudy.  Likely yet another Fly-out washed due to weather.
Breakfast in town will still be good.  Every day in the 10 day forecast
has some chance of rain.

Ford Tri-Motor

Wow.  The EAA Ford Tri-Motor visit was quite a treat!  59 volunteers
worked hard to fill over 800 seats.  17 exhibitors setup displays.  And
the event set three EAA records.: two days with a single pilot record 24
passenger flights; overall most passenger flights on a visit.

April Fly-Out:

Not flying on Fly-out day is becoming distressingly common.  April
continued the bad streak.  Shari’s South in Bend served well as our
backup destination.
