John Foster reports he just passed Rock Springs (DA 9,600) headed for Oshkosh. Airshow of the Cascades: Bad News: the Sport Class Air Races are off. $40,000 for insurance was a bit too much. Good News: the Golden Nights are back on, plus an F-15 Fly-by! FAAST Team: Our own Jay Bunning is now on the FAAST Team. Jay reminded me that a art 91 pilot need not carry current charts on board a flight. But he better have a real good excuse if he makes a mistake that a current chart could have prevented! June 22. ( Ken Fayal in his Cherokee, Fred Berrardo in his Grumman, and myself in my Beech Sierra) Kim Joined me for the trip. As we arrived, we were surprised by Mike Rhodes who flew in to join is from Independence! Clear weather both directions – except it got a little bumpy flying back into town. It was hot, they had only one food truck (captive audience) but it was a good day for a flight. Proposed Rules and Regulations The comment period for the 2nd draft of the new Proposed Rules and Regulations has closed. Almost all the original comments were still valid. No feedback from the city on the second round yet. Prineville Airport thanks us for sending so much old and new business to them.
