Website http://co-opa.com August 2019, Vol. 19, Issue 8 President's Message: Per the usual, our monthly CO-OPA meeting is this Third Thursday, August 15th, at 6pm. Still in the Bend Builder's Assist, thanks to Mike Robertson allowing us to use his space. The street address is 63030 Powell Butte Hwy (on the south west corner of the airport). Bring something tasty top share at our 6:30pm potluck. Then we will finish up a short informal meeting a 7pm. This month's Fly-out forecast looks almost like last months. KBND expects a high of 84F, clear skies, and WNW winds at 5 to 10 mph. And the weather looks good all over. Where should we go this Fly-out? Also be sure to attend the annual OPA Convention on September 14th at Aurora State Airport (UAO). They always put on a fun and informative event. More information on here: https://www.oregonpilot.org/annual-convention Airshows: Airshow season is upon us. The Airshow of the Cascades will be Friday night, and Saturday, 23-24 August, at Madras Municipal Airport (S33). Here is no information about it on their web site, so call them for details. July Fly-Out: Another Fly-out day with great weather. Three planes headed out early (by my standards) to Mulino for their airport day. The local EAA chapter provided pancakes with fresh local blueberries. Yum. Plus cars, planes, military vehicles and much more. The Mulino Airport has improved nicely since the state took it over.
