On our arrival the fog was just touching the downwind leg, but otherwise the weather was perfect. A nice breeze right down the short runway allowed everyone to stop in the frist half of the short runway. Robin from the Friends of Pacific City Airport met us on landing and gave us a complete tour of the airport as well as the “downtown” area. There is are new restrooms next to parking, and even loaner bikes to get around town. Camping is available on field. They do request you call ahead for availablility. Sadly Fat Freddies is no more, there web site is still up, but it now a completely different place. So Robin led us to The Oar House. We all had nice seafood for lunch while looking outside at the Nestucca River as is flowed by. The takeoffs were even better than the landings. The wind had picked up to about 15, the temperature about 65F, and we could not have gotten closer to see level. All the airplanes jumped off the runway for the smooth trip home. Several airplanes also went on a bonus Fly-Out to a Fly-In Movie on the Joseph airport. No trip reports about that yet.
