Website http://co-opa.com November 2017, Vol. 17, Issue 9 President's Message: Winter will be here Saturday (18 Nov), at least that is the day that Mt. Bachelor opens for the season. There was some dusting of snow at the Bend Airport, nothing serious yet, but it is coming… Got any winter flying tips? Share them with us on this Third Thursday (November 16).. meet up in the Professional Air waiting room, in the big green building on Bend Municipal Airport (KBDN). Meet and greet starts at 6pm. We’ll feed from our world famous potluck at 6:30pm, and finish up with a short formal meeting at 7pm. This month’s Fly-out weather forecast is looking OK so far. Partly Cloudy in Bend, and in all directions, with very small chance of precipitation. This may be our last nice Fly-out chance of the year, let’s make it count. Any Fly-Out destination we’ve missed this year? Someplace we need to back to one more time? X-Mas Party: Like we have done in the past, we’ll have a special meeting for December. Stay tuned, there will be a mailing when the details are nailed down. Our normal Fly-out day would be December 23, but people will probably be too busy that day. We’ll come up with a plan at the X-mas party. October Fly-Out: Wow, the early forecast had been grim, 94% chance of rain, gusts to 25. Luckily it cleared up with enough warning for us to have a nice Fly-out to Albany (S12). . At S12 here was a nice hamburger BBQ, all the trimmings, combined with a Young Eagles event. The YE were all excited, their parents were all excited, and we got to share in the excitement. All nicely hosted by the local FBO: Infinite Air Center. The flights out, and back, were smooth and gorgeous. Calendar: 16 November – Monthly Meeting 18 November – Monthly Fly-Out ?? December – X-Mas party - TBD ??
