President's Message:

The last monthly CO-OPA meeting of 2019.  This third Thursday, November
21st.  What a year it has been, with crazy season just around the
corner.  Be sure to adjust your calendar to remind you of the EAA
Holiday Party on December 11th, 5pm at the Bend Black Bear Diner.

This month we'll meet in the Bend Builder's Assist.  The street
address is 63030 Powell Butte Hwy (on the south west corner of the
airport).

Many thanks to Mike Robertson allowing us to use his space.  Bring
something yummy to share at our 6:30pm potluck.  Then we will finish up
a short informal meeting a 7pm.

The weather for Thanksgiving week is nasty, but our Fly-out day looks
good: few afternoon clouds, mostly sunny, light winds.

Gone, but not Gone:

November 20 was Gary Judd's last day as KBDN Airport Manager.  Under
Gary's management the airport has grown to the 3rd busiest airport in
the state.  The busiest with no control tower.  Thank you Gary for your
hard work.  Enjoy your retirement!  Maybe you'll have time to do more
flying?

October Fly-Out++:

Our October Fly-out only got as far as the new Bend Cracker Barrel.  At
least we got to talk about flying.

We made up for it with an extra Fly-out on Nov 16, with the local EAA
1345, to Christmas Valley.  Blue skies, light winds, four airplanes and
10 wonderful people.

I was lucky enough to have a non-pilot along.  It was fun to see him see
China Hat, Christmas Valley, Fort Rock, Hole in the Ground and the upper
Deschutes River from the air for the first time.
