President's Message:

For November's meeting, in addition to the usual goodness we had a round
of aviation trivia.  Who knew that Orville flew over water with a Red
Canoe just in case?  Next time we should keep score.

Plus some serious business was handled, Don and Norma Wilfong have been
managing our Christmas Charity.  There was a slow start, but at last
count we had raised over $500 for this deserving cause.  Expect another
update at the December meeting.

Remember that the December meeting will be at 5:30 (30 mins earlier than
normal) and upstairs at the Airport Cafe.  Look forward to some great
Prime Rib with all the fixings.  Followed as always by our traditional
Yankee Swap.  Time to close out the year in flying style.

November Flyout:

Our luck had to run out sooner or later, and November was the time.  So
instead of a Flyout we did a WalkUp to the new Airport Cafe for a fine
breakfast.  Several members had good comments on the scrambles and the
gravy, proving we still had some luck left.  Heres to hoping the kitchen
keeps up the good work.

My INBOX:

The Airport Cafe has taken over the old Cafe 3456 phone number, so you
can now reach them again at 541-318-8989.  Call ahead for takeout.  They
also have a full dinner menu served until 6:30pm including steak and
seafood from $10, pasta and salads from $7.

Random Thoughts:

Wow, another year almost gone.  Time to pause and recall the fine
fellowship of the OPA and all the good times we had this year.  Flyouts
to Hood River, Crescent Lake, Salem and more.  Airshows in Madras and
Klamath Falls and more.  FlyNots to jakes, Cheerleaders Grill and more.

We are awesomely lucky to live and fly here and the share is with our
fellowship of pilots.  So Happy New Year to one and all!
