Information On Annual Meeting

Friday: Arrive in time for the Welcoming Reception. Reception begins at 6:00 pm and concludes at 9:00 pm located at the Corvallis OPA Lounge on the Corvallis Airport in the Corvallis Aero Services hanger. Bring a food item to share for this potluck dinner. Free shuttle service provided by Corvallis OPA from 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

Saturday: Breakfast on your own.

Lunch from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Corvallis Airport hosted by Corvallis Aero Services and the Corvallis OPA Chapter. Annual Awards Ceremony then begins at 1:00 p.m.

Evening Awards Banquet at the CH₂M Hill Alumni Center, located on the Oregon State University Campus. 6:30 p.m. Social Hour - No Host Cocktails; 7:00 p.m. Dinner. Catering provided by Valley Catering. Menu includes Moroccan Chicken & Vegetable Manicotti. Keynote Speaker, Bill Wilkins, presenting “Oregon and the Technology Revolution in Aviation”. Transportation provided from motels to Alumni Center.

Sunday: Breakfast on your own. Shuttle service to airport provided by the Corvallis OPA Chapter.

SPEAKERS’ BIOGRAPHIES FOR FESTIVAL OF FLIGHT

Dr. Bill Wilkins, Chair – State Aviation Board: Wilkins is Dean Emeritus of the College of Liberal Arts, and Professor Emeritus of Economics at Oregon State University. He has also served as the Associate Administrator for Policy and International Aviation for the Federal Aviation Administration and as staff economist for the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means committee. Wilkins co-managed the June 2000 "Revolution in General Aviation" conference with the Oregon Department of Aviation’s director and is an active general aviation pilot. His goal is to assist the department in making Oregon a national leader in the next generation of aviation. Governor Kitzhaber has appointed Wilkins chair of the board.
